Bonding process design

Automated surface pre-processing by means of atmospheric pressure plasma and application of adhesive for adhesive bonding of an FRP driver’s cab

Transparent, bonded glass-polymer hybrid elements for load-carrying components
For constructive bonded joints on complex parts and components, there are available both manual adhesive application units and robot-coupled dispensers with 2K mixing and feed system in the labs.
For adhesive curing, drying ovens, UV irradiation or induction energy can be used. The available induction system with working frequencies from 400 to 600 kHz is for accelerated curing of adhesives – either by local heating of the metallic joining parts or through ferromagnetic particles directly inserted into the adhesive.
