International Symposium "Tailored Joining"
October 17 - 18, 2012, International Congress Center Dresden
Joining technologies represent the central challenge in modern process chains. Very often they are the essential factor to run up the costs. It is of utmost importance to be aware of the sometimes poor weldability of modern functional materials on the one hand and the high quality demands on the welding results on the other hand. Due to these decisive factors the choice of the best suitable joining procedure is deciding.
The symposium `Tailored Joining` will offer a survey of the most modern joining technologies. It will be a platform to introduce new process developments and to present memorable procedures. This conference drives from the unique cluster of most different technologies (all located at Dresden), their corresponding experts and contacts.
The talks will focus on the development of thermal joining procedures as well as on friction stir welding, magnetic pulse welding, mechanical joining, adhesive bonding ,and hybrid technologies. An exhibition will accompany the forum and complete the conference.
